I am so beyond thankful for this group...I love them each so very much! I have a lot to be thankful for and we celebrated all those wonderful things this year at Thanksgiving. God is good!

Cowboys & Indians
Halloween has come and gone, and boy, did the kids enjoy it! We fully understood the concept of 'getting candy' from our neighbors this year, and they were so excited! Unfortunately, these children take after their mommy, and both have a sweet tooth. We have enjoyed entirely too much candy recently, and now after EVERY meal, I hear,
"Where my candy?" OR
"I need candy, Mama".
That's right. They say "I NEED candy".
We decided to go with a "Cowboys & Indians" theme this year, and I knew immediately Jones had to be the cowboy. He loves wearing cowboy boots, and most definitely takes after his cowboy daddy! That meant that Sissy not only needed an Indian dress & a feather on her head, but her own pair of fringed Minnetonka boots.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

How Does This Happen?
How do 2 little years go by and THIS happens?????
Don't they look so grown up and ready to head off to college?....well, maybe not THAT grown up, but you get the idea. Time does fly when you're having fun!

Salon Visit
The day has come for London to get her first haircut! Jones had his first haircut long ago, but I felt London could hold out for awhile as I wanted her hair to be long. I recently realized though that her hair was becoming a bit unruly and would definitely benefit from a trim.
We decided to let Nana's hairdresser give London her first cut. We really tried to build it up on how much fun it was going to be and that she got to sit in Nana's lap, etc. When we pulled into the parking lot she said, "This be SO fun!"
She did fantastic and didn't make a peep during the whole cut. Jones waited so patiently with his juice box and I was so proud of my boy & girl!
Our keepsake curls....
"After"....
She still has plenty of curls and length....but just a bit more manageable!

New Sleeping Arrangements
We are currently transitioning from our cribs to "big beds". I posted their red cribs on Craigslist a couple weeks ago thinking it might take a bit for them to sell. They sold immediately. I was in a pickle as I didn't have their big beds yet. So like any other classy parent, I threw their crib mattresses on the floor and introduced them to their new beds!
We are still waiting for their beds (should be next week), but the twins have LOVED the freedom with this sleeping arrangement. They didn't realize until just a few nights ago that they could get out of their bed and hop into the others. This is what I found last night around midnight when I looked into the monitor. So stinking sweet!!!

Meet The Teacher
We're about to begin another year of "Mothers Day Out" and we're all a bit nervous. I thought the kids would feel super confident walking down the hallway to meet their new teachers for the year. Halfway down the hall, Jones stopped, his eyes welled up with tears, and his arms went straight up. It broke my heart, and I realized that the beginning of this year might be just as hard as last! :(
We went to say hello to our new teachers on Friday and eventually warmed up enough to play with a few toys. I am thinking next Friday might be a little hard on us all as that's our first full day. Wish us luck!
Sissy too nervous to smile. :(

Three's Company

These 3 cousins are obsessed with each other! They are the best of friends and had SO much fun on vacation being silly together and all three sleeping in the same room together. There were hours of giggling and talking until they fell asleep of exhaustion. SO sweet! We can't wait for Holland to be big enough to join in on the fun.

Back In The Saddle Again
I have resolved to pick back up on blogging again now that the summer is winding down and we'll be getting back into a routine again. We have enjoyed this summer so much and making new memories. It's been so fun to see Jones and London experience new things for the first time. I pray these precious babies are best friends for life.

Blueberry Pickin'
One fun summer activity we love doing is picking blueberries in Edom! It was certainly hot, but this was the first season the twins were capable of actually picking...so we headed out to collect berries! Jones was pretty particular as to which berries were selected, but London did not discriminate and took berries of all colors. (which meant they weren't ripe and tasted awful!) It's the effort that counts!
After picking our berries, we headed into the store to buy our berries and eat the best blueberry muffins EVER!

Still Here!
We've taken a break from blogging for awhile to enjoy these fun summer days. The kids and I have had so much fun riding our tricycles, going to the park, playing in the backyard, and swimming. They are wiped out by the end of the day...and so am I!
I did want to post a few pictures from our photo shoot we did last night with my friend, Kristin. She is getting in to the business of photography, and she is really talented. I am proud of her for starting this new venture and I wish her lots of luck and success. She can shoot my kids anytime!
We are so excited to see the other 3, 492 pictures you took, Kristin! You are awesome!

Summer Fun
The Summer is just beginning and it's HOT! We had fun running through the sprinklers the night before last. I'm hoping to get the kiddos used to water on the face before we attempt the pool this summer!
The splash park across the street just opened up for the summer and we can't wait to go play! Might have to be a nightly ritual to get these little bears tired!
We walked Gaga & Daddas out to their car after sprinklers and Jones ended up in the back of Papa's red pickup which was at our house. He had fun playing around and then decided to be a model and take some serious shots. ;)
Then he remembers...WAIT...I must kiss Daddas one more time before he leaves!
