London Souvenirs

Uncle Scott just got back from a trip to London where he got Jones and Londs some souvenirs. Can you tell how excited they were in their new T's?  Too cute!

I have a lot of blog catching up to do, but I knew this picture would be a quick and easy one to post!

Preschool :: Day 1

I can't believe I have two Preschoolers!!!  We had our first day today and Mommy was a wreck!  I was so nervous because I wasn't sure if they would be in the same class or not.  It's a long story, but I originally requested them to be separated to encourage independence from each other.  The teacher's had them on the same list on "Meet The Teacher" night so we thought maybe they would start off together and then split them later.  Then we go to drop off today, and they tell me they are officially split!  Oh my!  A roller coaster of emotions.  Turns out, they basically told the teachers "No" when asked to go in different classrooms and the teachers didn't want to force them on Day 1.  So we shall see what day 2 holds on Thursday!

They came home with many stories on things they did and the fun they had.  There was a lot of excitement in their voice so I'm really excited that they're excited!

We went to "Meet The Teacher" night the other evening and began with an orientation in the church sanctuary.  We were all seated in pews and the Pastor started off by saying how much the preschoolers meant to the school.  Here are what my kids looked like during the meeting!!  Oh my, do I have class clowns??

For those friends that knew me this young (basically my family & Brooke) would you agree that I think we have this exact picture somewhere from 30 years earlier?  Might have possibly had the same outfit as well??

About to leave the house on the 1st day

When we got close to their classrooms, they tightly grabbed hands and walked through the door together and went straight to their table.  Melts.My.Heart!!

Here they are right after I picked them up.  Notice we are all smiling big, but I think Mommy was the happiest at this moment.  So glad to see my babies!!!

Memorial Day

I have so many blog posts to put up, but I had to quickly throw some pictures up from today.  What a great Memorial Day we had.  Here are a few shots from the parade we went to this morning.  So fun!

The kids in shock as the beginning of the parade (a police car) came around the corner blaring it's siren and horn!

Are these sassy ladies adorable or is it just me??  I forgot what their name was, but they were the cutest tap dancing group!

I have a couple of kiddos that turned 3 last week and had a birthday party this past weekend.  It was such a great day and I hope they loved every minute of the festivities!  Birthday pictures to come....

He Is Risen!

Easter was wonderful this year and we had a great time with family while hunting eggs and eating delicious food! And of course lots and lots of cousin time!

All of those things are wonderful, but of course the real reason for Easter is to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord, for paying the ultimate penalty for our sin!

Happenings

A little recap of the last month's "happenings"....

We took a "Mommy+Kids" trip to HHR while Daddy was out of town. Had lots of fun as usual!

We BOTH had ear surgery for vent tubes & adenoids removed. Poor babies!!

Got the pool re-plastered so now it doesn't look like a layer of mud is sitting on the bottom of the pool!

The time finally came to get Daddy a new pick up as his old one was about to run out of steam. We've had lots of fun running around in the backseat because it's huge & roomy!
(not while driving of course!)

Work on Jones and London's "big kid" rooms SLOWLY continues to progress. I had a "vision" and these are mid-install shots. Stay with me to see finished rooms...hopefully in the next couple weeks!

And a visit to the Arboretum where we loved the "little houses"!
