We LOVE Santa!

Can't you tell?? I have no idea why they would be upset in this picture. We only made them wait in a line for over an hour, BEFORE lunch, BEFORE their nap! We did not plan this picture very well...but I feel confident that they would have screamed when they saw him regardless. They were happy as larks the second they got off his lap. This Santa was so sweet and we talked to Mrs. Clause the whole time we were in line. We found out they were really married and had been married 55 years. So sweet!

Note to self: Take kids to see Santa weeks before Christmas next year!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Rowan!

My goodness, I can remember when I did that post about Rowan first learning to walk. I can't believe he is already a big 3-year-old!!! We celebrated his birthday party at the fire station and the kids had a great time! Jones desperately wanted to "hang" with the big boys and followed them around the whole time. London pretty much was attached to Gaga or Daddy the whole time. When we finally left the fire station and went to lunch, she started to warm up and get more comfortable. It just takes my girl some time to relax....she's like her mommy!

See the little guy in the back wearing a red firemen's hat...that's my boy running to keep up with the big boys.

Don't know what this thing was, but all the boys were very interested in it.

I won't tell you the name that my sister gave this fireman.

London's typical "please hold me pose".

Walking between fire trucks by himself checking out all the cool stuff!

Daddy asking the fireman all sorts of questions about how everything works!

London and Daddy enjoying some pizza.

Blowing out all 3 candles!!
OH, and Connie just happened to whip up this little fire truck cake...can you say talented?

Happy Birthday, Sweet Boy! Your DD & T love you very much!!
(and so does Jones and Londy!)

Bust A Move

As promised, here is my little man busting a move. Notice his little red nose that was painted like Rudolph? Too sweet!

Enjoy!

True Story

Had to throw this story up here so London can read it one day and laugh.

I heard the babies stirring from their nap, so I ran and grabbed the video monitor.

I flipped to Jones.

Still sound asleep in a tight little ball all cozy and warm.

Then I flipped to London.

She is standing at the end of her crib that is closest to Jones's. She is practically leaning over into his crib, waving her finger around, and yelling "NO, NO, NO!"

Oh my, Oh my.....this child is so bossy she even tells people what to do when they're sleeping!!

Santa's Village

We had loads of fun at Santa's Village in Richardson this year. The city of Richardson totally impressed me!! My only complaint was that it was freezing! Each little "house" had a different activity for the kids to do, and of course Santa was there! He arrived on a blaring fire truck with Mrs. Clause who is in charge of passing out cookies. (we chose NOT to wait in the 2 hour long line...my children will be just fine meeting him at Willowbend Mall) There was also a stage where children were performing to extremely loud music. I then felt old that I realized the music was too loud. Later in the evening, when the stage had cleared, my little performer took center stage and did his thing. I will post that video in my next post. This guy has moves.

London clung on to any adult she could get her hands on...everything was too overwhelming for her. We got very few smiles from her, and only a couple minutes worth of pictures without her arms being wrapped around a grandparent. Speaking of, we had 3 grandparents accompany us to this fun event. London and Jones absolutely LOVE their grandparents. We are so fortunate they live so close and are so active in their lives. ...now on to the pictures.

We got loved on by our grandparents.

Flew around in Santa's sleigh...but didn't make it very far off the ground.

Petted (is that a word?) a goat.

Danced on the stage with Grampas.
(notice who insists on holding hands with Grampas)

Got our noses painted red like Rudolph AND played musical instruments!
(it truly looks like we're torturing them)

Got thrown into the air by Daddy.

Made friends with a wooden dalmation

And saw a goat sit on top of a bunny. I didn't post the picture of the goat actually sitting on the bunny cause it's a bit disturbing. This was the prelude to that picture.

And that pretty much sums it up! I think another trip is definitely in order!

A Lot To Be Thankful For

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We hosted the family over at our new house and it was so much fun. We love getting all 3 (really 4) of the grandkids together to watch them play and have fun together. Of course grandchild #4 cannot play yet as she's still inside my sister! She will be arriving in 1 month and we are SO excited to meet her!

Just thought I'd share some pics from our fun day!

My sister saying something very important and deep.

My favorite part about the Thanksgiving meal....dressing & sweet potatoes!!

The kids had SO much fun throwing glow balls up and down the hallway...ah, the little things!

My precious nephew, Rowan.

The boys did a whole lot of this all day.

My WONDERFUL family that I am so incredibly thankful for...even if we are a bit goofy!

A long time ago...

It's pretty amazing how much your life can change over 5 years. David and I were married 5 years ago last Friday and it blows our minds that time has gone this quickly. We have grown so much together and now have 2 beautiful babies together. What a wonderful life we have and we know how incredibly blessed we are and where those blessings come from.

David and I met over 11 years ago at a mutual friend's home where he discovered I would soon be attending A&M. (where he already was attending) It was history from then on and I knew pretty quickly that I wanted to marry him. God had perfect plans for our lives, and eventually we were married 6 years after we met that first day. I tell David often that I think I might be the luckiest girl in the world.

David and I about 10 years ago...just little BABIES!!!

Our wedding day in 2005.

Last Friday night before we went out to celebrate 5 years of marriage! David and I agreed that our dinner was probably the best meal we'd ever had....Al Biernats is pretty much amazing!!

Definitely the most amazing experience we have gone through together...the birth of our babies and the weeks BEFORE and AFTER at the hospital.

David, I love our life together and I can't wait to see what the next 55 years hold for us.

Happy Halloween!

I did a super easy costume this year for the kiddos and I still think they looked super cute. I brainstormed many "pairs" of things and ended up with Salt & Pepper. They had a great time dressing up and actually kept their knit caps on ALL night! I was shocked. Considering it took us about 15 minutes to get next door....we didn't hit up THAT many houses. Jones definitely got the hang of it by the 3rd house and took candy and dropped it into his bucket all by himself as he mumbled "thank you" with his mouth closed. (for some reason he loves to say Thank You with the mouth shut??)
We then went home and I was a bad mom and let the kids eat 100 lbs. of chocolate. They LOVED it and kept running up to me saying "PEAS, PEAS" (this is how they both say "please"). So I shoved a peanut butter cup in their mouth and we all lived happily ever after.

Jones was in shock of all the candy!!

London instructing me she'd like another bite of candy.

Then our friend, Emma, stopped by and Jones was pretty interested, UNTIL.....

...Sissy sat down and started screaming so he decided he needed to scream too!
Poor little bunny rabbit!!!
